I am Narayani Ankh and currently based in South Korea, Seoul. I come from an Artist Family, my mother is korean and my father german. Because of this background i naturally continued with painting and writing. Life is about sharing Love and TRooth in this Whirld. My JOurney with Female Spirituality was catalyzed 2014 when I met an extraordinary Midwife that sparked my path and inspired me to dive deeper in the oceanic Waters of Herstory. Since then I am reSearching, lEarning and growing, fascinated by the times when women were worshipped and the Cosmic Mother, the Creatix of All Things honored. I am curious and excited about the Mago Pilgrimage. Our ancestors guided me to this special event. I pheal grateful to Helen and all members of the Mago Circle. 저는 학부에서 철학+국문학을, 석사는 미학을 수료까지만한 아직 공부하는 학생이기도 하고요(마지막 논문을 계속 미루네요 ^^), 지금은 인도,태국같은 나라들의 에스닉한 소품.향등을 판매하는 작은 가게를 하고, 동시에 자립적 문화공동체를 지향하는’ 해피히피바이브’ 라는 파티+개더링을 만들어나가고 있어요. 일년에 한번 ‘해피히피개더링’을 자연에서 만들어요.
언제나 공동체 생활을 꿈꾸기는 하지만 저도 도시사람이라 여행을 가는 것으로 충족하면서 사는데요, 해피히피개더링은 자연에서 일주일정도 짧지만 함께 마을을 만들어보자 라는 취지로 진행해요. 올해가 5회째인데요, 올해부터는 전기를 쓰지 않고 자연과 서로가 교감하는 시간을 만들어볼까! 그중에 하루는 전기를 쓰고 공연을 하고 축제의 장을 만들어보쟈! 하면서 그날을 창조에너지가 가득한 날로 생각해서 ‘마고데이’라 불러볼까 생각했거든요.
사실 저는 종교는 없지만 에너지, 자연은 존중해요. 그래서 대지의 여신 가이아라던가 인도신이라던가 차크라등은 평소에도 매우 흥미를 갖고 있었어요, 그런데 뭔가 한국적인 고대신화와 에너지를 공부해 보고싶기도 하다 라는 생각이 들더라고요. 때마침 우연히 오랫만에 만난 나라와 이야기하다가 이 기회를 소개받게 되었네요. 설레이는 만남 기대하고 있어요~
Kate BeslemeI am a mother of three growing humans who are my greatest teachers. I grew up in a Greek-American hOMe and the “mythos” and mystery of how the Greeks explained the nature of the universe fascinated me. I have been a global citizen serving hundreds of families in childbirth throughout Asia (Thailand, Indonesia, and now South Korea) since 2003. The seed that carried the birth of myself as a midwife was planted when my “Yia Yia” (grandmother) gave birth to my mother as a new immigrant in the US. She died giving birth to my mother in 1941. As a child I listened intently and with curiosity to this story and many others. These birth stories gave me a deep respect for the family life cycle, a knowing of the creative force that lies within women, and an understanding about how much creation and birth matters. As the midwife who trained me to be a midwife always says, “Peace on Earth begins with birth.” I am happy to be a new pilgrim into the heart of Magoism!
