Prior to the Program: Ms. Jee Hyunsuk and I will pick up those who arrives in Incheon on June 5 and June 7. Meeting Place inside the Airport: Arrival Gate “C”, I or someone will wait for you from 30 min after your arrival time. The monitor at the airport will inform the arrival of your flight.

We will begin our days with morning meditation at 7 AM led by MaryAnn Columbia, myself, and others who can and would like to. It is optional.
We will share our experiences, stories, visions whenever possible among ourselves including some Korean who will join us.
I will provide input on Mago about six occasions (including formal events) during which you are most welcome to comment or co-present with me.
Day 1 (Thur. June 6): Arrival in Incheon/Seoul, travel to Ganghwa Island
Program begins at 5 PM meeting with a few Korean participants and have dinner. Our main guide is Ms. Jee Hyunsuk.
Day 2 (Fri, June 7): Ganghwa Island
***The places we will visit in Ganghwa Island may include Jeondeung-sa (historically renowned Buddhist temple), Dolmens, and the Shrine of Mudang/Shaman Kim Keum Hwa.
Other places for possible visit are: Pagoda, beach, and Mt. Mani wherein the Altar of the Heavenly Ritual is located (that a state offered the Heavenly Ritual was an indication that the State was of the Heavenly Progeny, here Heaven suggests Mago).
Day 3 (Sat. June 8): Ganghwa Island/Gyeonggi/Seoul, Travel to Wonju, Gangwon Province
***It is planed to attend an actual site of Mudan’g gut (ritual) performance in the morning sometime. We plan to have a scenic drive by Han River that runs through Seoul. Then we will travel to Wonju after dinner.
There will be an evening event led by Mr. Bongjun Kim, curator of Art Museum of Ancient Future Myths.
Day 4 (Sun. June 9): Wonju, Forum cosponsored by Art Museum of Ancient Future Myths, village shines and cultural sites
***In Mr. Kim’s place, we will have time for an introduction to the Art Museum of Ancient Future Myths. Then, a forum is scheduled in the morning (10-12 PM), presenters include Bongjun Kim, Ms. Jeongsuk Kim, Lydia Ruyle, Mary Ann Ghaffurian, and Helen Hwang. There will be a response by Seonja Kim. After lunch, we will visit village shrines and cultural sites. After dinner, we will leave for Seoul National University to stay over night.

Day 5 (Mon. June 10): Inter-Continental Goddess Conference (ICGC)
Venue: Scottfield Hall, Veterinary School, Seoul National University
Theme: Return to the Origin, Homecoming to Mago Ourselves
***Co-sponsored by Women’s Research Institute, Seoul National University, and others. Program to be announced separately.
We will stay overnight at SNU’s Hoam Professor’s Building.
Day 6 (Tue. June 11): Asan and Daejeon in Central Region
Mr. Hyoyoung Lee will drive and join us to Asan and Daejeon.
Dr. Myungju Kim (Chungnam University) will guide us in Daejeon.
In the morning, we will visit Mago Halae Gut Shrine in Asan in which meeting with Shrine Mistress Shaman is scheduled.
In the afternoon, we will go to Sudeok-sa temple to experience a Temple Stay guided by nuns (Neunghye, I hope). A retreat type of program is being prepared.
We stay overnight at the Temple. There will be some individual rooms available. Korean style bedding here.
Day 7 (Wed. June 12): Sudeok-sa, Mt. Jiri
Ms. Ahn Hae Kyung (feminist singer) will guide us while in Mr. Jiri.
Temple stay will continue till after lunch time. Spa experience is optional here.
We will head for Mt. Jiri and will check in Jirisan-gwon Munhwa-won Research Center.
Day 8 (Thur. June 13): Mt. Jiri (either Mago Castle or Buddhist temples, depending on the weather)
***Mt. Jiri is the place wherein Magoism is thickly imbued in geography, mudang (shaman) culture, and folklore. It is historically known as a female mountain. Visiting sites include the Altar of Nogo (Mago’s another name), Cheonwang-sa (Heavenly Ruler Temple, Mago was called “Mago, the Heavenly Ruler,” according to my new discovery), Baek-mu-dong (meaning Township of One Hundred Mudang, according to my new discovery, whose logographic characters read Township of the White Force), Guryong-gol (Nine Dragon Valley), indigenous shrines such as Samsin-gak (Shrine of the Triad), and Chilseong-gak (Shrine of the Seven Stars, constellation of the Bear/Dipper) preserved in Buddhist Temples, and bells in Buddhist Temples such as Ssanggye-sa and Guksa-am (the Korean ancient bell being the mantra and mandala of the Female Divine).
Day 9 (Fri. June 14): Mt. Jiri (either Mago Castle or Buddhist temples, depending on the weather)
Day 10 (Sat. June 15): Mt. Jiri, travel to Busan
***The places we will visit in Busan may include Yeong Island known for Mago folktales, the Shrine of Mazu, and Mt. Bongrae (Penglai), Mt. Geumjeong wherein the Shrine of Goddess is commemorated by a stele, indigenous shrines in Buddhist temples. It is planed to attend an actual site of Mudan’g gut (ritual) performance in the afternoon.
Day 11 (Sun. June 16): Busan, Travel to Jeju Island
Dr. Vana Kim will pick us up at the airport and give us ride to the places.
Arrive at Jeju in late afternoon. Will visit the site of dolmens and other cultural sites on the way to Joyville Resort in which we will stay during Jeju stay.
Day 12 (Mon. June 17): Jeju Island, Shrine visits, Symposium (6-9PM)
***Jeju Island is known as the Island of Paradise, Peace, and Women. It it thickly imbued with Seolmudae (Mago’s another name) folk myths, mudang tradition, and natural wonders. The places we will visit in Jeju Island include the Lake of the White Deer atop Mt. Halla (the Transcendant of the White Deer is one of Mago’s epithets that holds the key to Mago’s symbolism of deer in art and literature from China and Japan as well), mudang shrines and rituals, woman sea divers, and scenic and cultural sites steeped in beauty and history.
Jeju Traditional Culture Research Institute will guide and co-sponsor the Symposium (Kimshin Myungsook, Lydia Ruyle, Mary Ann Ghaffurian, Sarah Nelson, Helen Hwang).
Theme: Valuable Meeting, Jeju Woman and World Goddesses
Day 13 (Tue. June 18): Jeju, visit shrines and cultural sites, Colloquium (6-9 PM)
Jeju Traditional Culture Research Institute will guide and co-sponsor the Colloquium.

Day 14 (Wed. June 19): Jeju travel to Seoul/Gyeonggi
Afternoon, free time.

Special Programs may include: Six Mago Presentations (MP), Inter-Continental Goddess Conference (ICGC), Forum, Symposium, and Colloquium.
