“Gathering at the Crossroad for Mago Time/Space” hosted by Helen Hye-Sook Hwang, Trista Hendren, and Kaalii Cargill

day 1 copy

Invitation to cleansing, invoking, and entering Gynocentric Reality (Mago Time/Space) collectively!

A. “Casting the Circle” by Glenys Livingstone

B. “Casting the Circle” by Kaalii Cargill

547px-Bagua-name-earlier.svgC. “The Mago Way Poem” by Helen Hye-Sook Hwang

This poem entitled, “Just Remember WE in S/HE,” is a poetic synopsis of The Mago Way: Re-discovering Mago, the Great Goddess from East Asia (Mago Book, 2015), authored by Dr. Hwang.

D. “Situating in the Womb of Gaia: a PaGaian contemplation of Her Creative Place” by Glenys Livignstone

A taste of PaGaian Cosmology: the Womb of Gaia altar/mandala presented in ceremonial style, unfolding some of its significance, applied to both hemispheres and different places. One of the layers of the mandala represents the Seasonal wheel with Solstices, Equinoxes and cross-quarter days of Old European tradition, which may be pathways to the center. The inner layer at center represents the Triple Goddess and Triple Spiral.

Participants may like to have a small altar with 3 candles in the center ready for lighting during the video. There are some expressive arm movements towards the end, with which one may join.

E. “Speaking at Rally to Commemorate the Bombing of Hiroshima” by Janie Rezner

I am speaking at a Rally  Commemorating the Bombing of Hiroshima, Aug 4, 2001 in Fort Bragg CA.  I recall my attending a similar event presented by a group of dedicated women in the Zendo at Green Gulch Zen Center, Marin,  California,  August 1995.       “We were there remembering the horror of August 5th, l945.  Hearing story after story,  I sat in that packed, silent crowd, sweat streaming down my back  as  women musicians and speakers wove together the stories of suffering.”   . . . and I was outraged at what patriarchal men were and still ARE doing.

F. “The Kolo: Community of Healing” by Danica Anderson, Ph.D.

The vital step is that I bear witness where memory is preserved and perpetuated into life giving social collective and community into culture.   Like culture, oral memory traditions are rooted in our biology; the mother, the major caregiver of life.

I know women’s narratives tell the stories of their invisible and neglected lives which hold the secrets of healing trauma and violence.    I carried with me their experiences across international borders and war zones and entered into their everyday lives.

Folding in what I learned, the kolo trauma treatment empowers women to remember they create culture and are the healers of their global communities—societies where women and children are not invisible or erased.

Day 2 Program Coming on Dec. 15

“Mothers, Daughters, and more”
hosted by Trista Hendren

day 2 copy

katharineThis episode will explore how to bring alive Goddess traditions, spirituality and activism with our daughters (young or old). We have pre-recorded a lively conversation between me and Katharine Krueger of Journey of Young Women – and special guests Gina Loughrige  and Jody Kalpernos.

I will speak specifically to the mother-daughter relationship and how to foster Goddess traditions with your daughter as she grows into a woman. We will incorporate the wisdom of each of our guests into the conversation.

Katherine will speak to collectively  mothering and mentoring  our daughters.  Her perspective applies to parenting, but more broadly and potently to all the things that the collective sisterhood does to help girls  and all genders respect and honor our bodies, our bleeding, our sexuality, the Earth.  Katharine will also speak to goddess-y things like collaborative (as opposed to hierarchical or competitive) initiatives and so on which Starhawk works tirelessly for.

Even if you don’t have a daughter or any children – and even if you’re not a worshiper of the Goddess – you can be part of helping the next generation embody facets of what the Goddess offers.

Tune in to our pre-recorded cozy conversation from our homes around the world. Join us for a cup of tea and lots of love and wisdom.

The show will air on Tuesday, December 15th at 9pm PST here.  You can also listen in any time after that throughout the Nine Day Solstice Celebration.

Manifesto image web LM“Female Futures” by Dr. Lila Moore

The presentation is based on excerpts from the Cybernetic Institute’s Letter of Letters Manifesto dedicated to the study of technoetic arts, consciousness and the spiritual in art. It refers to seminal manifestos and declarations by visionary and feminist women artists from the first part of the 20th century up to the 21st century. It addresses the strategy of violence which was instigated by the male-dominated early movements of modern art and which has shaped contemporary culture. The manifesto highlights the role of the Futuristic Woman in designing futures through compassionate, participatory and cybernetic modes of being, creating and learning.

“Mago” means the Great Goddess, the Primordial Mother, or the Creatrix.

Where: Three main online venues Mago Academy’s website (magoacademy.org), The Girl God’s website (thegirlgod.com), Mago Academy’s Youtube channel. In addition, we will connect with you through The Mago Circle Facebook Group, Mago Academy Facebook Page, The Girl God’s Facebook Page, and other websites and social network media by our hosts and presenters.

How to participate by viewers and readers: We will post each day’s program in above mentioned websites at 9PM U.S. PST, unless otherwise indicated. Our viewers and readers can ask questions and make comments on a specific issue addressed by our hosts and presenters.

The Verbal Code as a Sign of Living/Loving Gynocentric Reality: During these 9 days, we proclaim the Gynocentric Reality (Mago Time/Space), that is, the Background Reality, to borrow Mary Daly’s word. It is the Way of the Universe (The Mago Way). We propose the idea that we treat each other beyond/beneath one’s identity defined by race/ethnicity, sex/gender, sexuality, nationality, religion, spirituality, class, education, and etc. We will read/listen to WHAT people say NOT who say that, so to speak. For nine days, we intend to disrupt the usual MENTAL habit of labeling the speaker into a category such as “white woman,” “Asian woman,” “African American woman,” “Native American,” “lesbian,” “white man,” “person of color,” “Christian,” “Muslim,” “middle-class,” “U.S. American,” “British,” “Chinese,” “Third World,” “Ph.D.” and so on. Our identities are all good in nature, enriching the Goodness of Life on Earth. However, it is the patriarchy that attempts to colonize us by dividing and ranking people. When we are consciously undoing the mental habit of patriarchal labels among ourselves, we are preparing a direct path to Gynocentric Reality. How do we do that? As a sign of undoing patriarchal mental labels,  we propose the Verbal Code, which is “In Mago Time/Space.” We begin our talk/comment by using the Verbal Code. For example, this can be one’s comment on a Facebook post, “In Mago Time/Space, (whatever one wants to say).” We are neither suggesting that we should remove all all self-referential titles in our talks during this period. Nor that we take someone’s talk uncritically. Rather, we propose a mental/linguistic practice that will affect OUR MIND/Tongue/Language. When we use the Verbal Code, “In Mago Time/Space,” we mean that “I see you the way who you are not by the label that patriarchy places on you. And you are my Sister or Brother in the Primordial Mother.” Change begins in our mind AND manifests in our action/life. There is no dualistic thinking here. Change in thinking is the key to the change in our action.
