Welcoming Ceremony to New Year and Solstice
Dec. 16th 12 Noon -1: 30 PT. Free of charge with registration.
Mago Academy invites you to come and celebrate our planetary community at the time of transition to the New Year and Solstice! The Welcoming Ceremony (20 min) will be followed by a special one hour session about the Magoist Calendar of the 13 Months and 28 Days. We are holding an annual whale bell striking ceremony at the Moon-lit Rock Garden of the Mago Academy Center, Lytle Creek CA (Zoom and actual participation).
When: Dec. 16, 2024 (Monday) at 12 AM PT.
Why December 16th? Because Dec. 17th is the New Year according to Mago Almanac, the 13 month 28 day calendar! Here is a free download for Mago Almanac with Monthly Wheels for everyone who would like to check it out.
How: Welcoming Ceremony (20min). During the Welcoming Ceremony, we play a record of the Whale Bell. Immediately after the whale bell ringing (28 times), each participant will say out the names of our loved ones, the living and the dead, in the spirit of gratitude.
One hour session (12: 30 PM to 1:30 PM) includes:
*(40 min) Dr. Hwang’s presentation about her poem, “The Magoist Calendar of the 13 Months and 28 Days” included in Mago Almanac Year 8 (also below available).
*(20 min) Open discussion with questions and answers by all participants.
Registration free but required: Email Dr. Hwang (magoacademy@gmail.com) with the info below to receive the Zoom link with the password. 1. Your name, 2. Country of residence, 3. “I would like to join because….(complete the sentence on your own).” For all participants, the PDF version of Mago Almanac Year 8 will be provided together with the Zoom link.
